Kona Surf Team News

1) To act like a professional in and out of the water at contests as well as in your community!

2) Have the Kona Sports logo placed on top and bottom of your board visible for all photo opportunities. And as much as possible Twitter, Facebook, You Tube or any blog about the Kona Surf Team, Konasports.com and all team events.

3) To be present at all ESA and NSSA Events as well as any specialty events that are in your area, thus helping get the Kona name in the competitive surf scene.

4) To be a team player with your team mates and help create a positive vibe.

5) To be present at all Kona Sports sponsored events.

6) To be an active member in your community and help out where you can.

7) To remain drug free and if under the age of 21 alcohol free!!!!

8) As part of the Kona Surf Team, help organize a fund raising event once a year that will be held at the Dogtooth Bar & Grill (a Kona Enterprise) for a local community cause.

9) Remain in good educational standing in school or college.

10) You must attend all Kona Surf Team meetings.

Nov 20th - Contest Updates

Well it was a huge weekend for the Kona sports team. We had riders surfing in California , Florida, and free surfing in Jersey.

Corey Howell was on his way to California to surf the rip curl grom search being held at in Dana Point at salt creek. This is one of the most prestigious events in the country. This event Corey earned a spot for winning the grom search trials that was held at New Smyrna Beach Fla. Rip Curl holds several events around the country to see he makes it to California. Corey killed it in Fla not only taking home first place but hot move of the contest.

Some of the previous winners of the grom search have been Mason Ho, kai Barger, just to name a few. Corey surfed in two divisions at salt creek. He surfed the under 16 and the under 14.Coery made it to the semis in both divisions finishing equal 7th in the country. Way to go corey we are stoked for you. Just wait for bigger things to come from Corey Howell in the near future, just turning 14 he has a bright future.

Nov 6th - Maddie Peterson

We at Konasports wanted to send a big shout out to our girl Maddie Peterson for her latest accomplishment. Maddie has been recognized for her hard work and efforts and has been picked up by Billabong clothing. Maddie is now going to be working on many goals in her surfing, and out of the water. We at Kona are very proud of Maddie and will continue to help her in her adventures in and out of the water. Once again great job Maddie and keep up the great work.
