CALOI BIKES

Caloi Bikes

When Luigi Caloi arrived in Brazil from Italy, he brought with him a dream to make the best bicycle with the most advanced technology one could imagine. To make that dream come true, he founded Casa Luiz Caloi along with his brother-in-law (Agenor Poletti), in downtown São Paulo. When Luigi Caloi died, his sons Guido, Henrique and José Pedro founded Casa Irmãos Caloi. Separation of the Caloi Brothers’s businesses. Guido continues his father’s business while Henrique and José Pedro begin a new enterprise supplying spare parts for bicycles. With the World War II, imports became difficult and Casa Luiz Caloi began producing their own spare parts in a shed in São Paulo. When imports resumed after the War, Guido maintained his industry operations and Indústria e Comércio de Bicicletas Caloi S.A. came into existence. The year Guido died, he passes ownership of the company to the third generation; Mr. Bruno Antonio Caloi. This is a period of important product releases, such as the Fiorentina line, the folding models and the Berlinetas. This period sees solid consolidation and expansion of the brand in Brazil and the international market, as it becomes synonymous with bicycles. Caloi opens a subsidiary in the United States – Caloi Inc. Based in Jacksonville, Fl, the company introduced innovative and high-quality products in the US market. Caloi expands its businesses, introducing a Fitness line with treadmills and upright bicycles. Caloi experiences a change in its ownership and a new marketing concept begins. Caloi moves to a new headquarter. Today Caloi means not only bicycles, it also means Fitness and is synonymous with health, sports and leisure Visit www.caloiusa.com
